On August 4, Kyle Jhann Gumangan, a SILCer and Filipino, visited the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) in Beijing for an enlightening event co-hosted by the ACC and the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE).

8月4日，悉尼工商意昂3菲律賓裔來華留學生Kyle Jhann Gumangan應邀前往北京參觀中國-東盟中心(ACC)😋，並參加由中國教育國際交流協會（CEAIE）與中國-東盟中心共同舉辦的座談活動。

During the event, Director Hadi Tjahjono of the Education, Culture, and Tourism Division, where he warmly welcomed and introduced all participants to the intricate workings of the ACC and its pivotal role in bolstering ASEAN-China pragmatic cooperation. Later, Ms Wang Jing, the Officer of the Trade and Investments Division, discussed the future of sustainability implementations within ASEAN businesses and its countries’ supply chains in the Q&A portion. In this part, Kyle did a presentation and discussed with Ms Wang on the topic too.

活動期間，東盟教育🛌🏼、文化和旅遊司司長哈迪向與會代表表示熱烈歡迎，並向與會代表介紹了中國—東盟合作中心的運作及其在推動中國—東盟務實合作中發揮的重要作用。隨後，貿易和投資司司長王靜女士在問答環節討論了東盟企業和東盟國家供應鏈可持續發展的未來💇‍♀️。在這一部分，Kyle做了一個報告，並與王女士就這個話題進行了討論🤌。

Here is Kyle’s feedback:

I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to present on ASEAN and the ASEAN-China trade and investments sector and provide suggestions for enhancing infrastructure development, streamlining regulations, and promoting businesses. While emphasizing human capital development, especially the recruitment of young talent and the importance of embracing sustainability practices (ESG) is a testament to the forward-thinking vision of ASEAN, the ACC and the CEAIE.

As a Filipino, From the heart of the Philippines, one of the proud 10 ASEAN nations, I say: “We are the pulse of ASEAN, and we take the helm for the future’s sake.”
